Terms of Service
Last updated 18 October 2026
Shotkiln (the "Service") is operated by SPONE FZCO, DSO-IFZA, IFZA Properties, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"). By creating an API key or using the Service you agree to these terms. Contact: support@shotkiln.com.
1. The Service
Shotkiln renders web pages and HTML you submit into images and PDFs, and generates images from templates. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice to paying customers.
2. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to: capture or distribute content you have no right to; render phishing, malware, credential-harvesting or scam pages (except for genuine, authorised security research agreed with us in advance); access non-public systems or attempt to bypass our network protections; circumvent paywalls, access controls or rate limits of third-party sites; process content that is illegal, including child sexual abuse material; or resell raw access without our written consent. We block private and internal network targets and known malicious hosts, and we may suspend keys involved in abuse without notice.
3. API keys
Keys are secrets. You are responsible for all use of your keys. Rotate a leaked key immediately via /v1/keys/rotate.
4. Plans, billing and cancellation
Paid plans are monthly subscriptions billed in advance through Stripe. Quotas reset on the first day of each calendar month (UTC); unused renders do not roll over. You can cancel at any time from the Stripe billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion for service failures. We may change prices with 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
5. Free and anonymous use
Free and anonymous use is limited, watermarked and provided as-is. We may change or withdraw free limits at any time.
6. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Rendering depends on third-party infrastructure (Cloudflare) and on the target sites themselves.
7. Your content
You keep all rights to the content you submit and the outputs. You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the Service (including caching outputs for the TTL you choose).
8. Disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. Courts of Dubai have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country.
